A fantasy football draft order generator your whole league can watch

Draft Dash is a free random draft order generator built for fantasy football leagues. Instead of pulling names out of a hat or posting a screenshot from a random number site, you schedule a kickoff time, share one link, and everyone in the league watches the draft order get decided in a live 100-yard race. The order is locked in the moment you schedule, so nobody can change it, and the race just plays it out.

How it works

  1. Pick your league size (4 to 32 teams) and enter the team names.
  2. Choose a kickoff date and time. Your draft order is randomly generated right then and saved on the server.
  3. Share the link in your league chat. Everyone sees the same countdown.
  4. At kickoff, the race runs live on every screen at the same time. First across the line gets the first pick.
  5. The full draft board is revealed pick by pick, and you can copy the results straight into your group chat.

Why the order is fair

The draft order comes from a random draw generated on the server the moment the race is scheduled. Nothing that happens during the race can change it. With equal odds, every team has exactly the same chance at every pick, whether you have 4 teams or 32. With the weighted lottery, the odds are shown to everyone before kickoff. If the commissioner edits the race before kickoff, a completely new order is generated and everyone is told.

Works for any league

Draft Dash was made for fantasy football, but it works anywhere you need a fair random order with a little ceremony: fantasy basketball, baseball, and hockey drafts, office pools, dynasty startup drafts, rookie drafts, or deciding who picks first for anything.

Common questions

Is the draft order really random?
Yes. It is a uniform random shuffle created by the server using a cryptographic random number generator when you schedule the race. The race animation is decided by that result, not the other way around.
Does everyone see the same race?
Yes. Every device replays the same race from the same starting point, synced to the kickoff time. Someone who opens the link late sees the race exactly where it is for everyone else.
How many teams can I have?
Anywhere from 4 to 32 teams. 12 is the default.
Do I need an account?
No. There is nothing to sign up for. You create a race, get a link, and share it. The browser you used to create the race gets commissioner controls to edit or cancel it before kickoff.
Does it cost anything?
No. Draft Dash is free to use.
How long does the race take?
About a minute. The first team finishes around 35 seconds in, and the full draft board reveal takes another 20 to 30 seconds.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. On phones the camera follows the leaders so every lane stays readable.
Does it work for a snake draft?
Yes. Draft Dash sets the first-round order. Most leagues then snake it, so whoever finishes last picks first in round two. Copy the results into your league site and it handles the rest.
Is this a draft order randomizer or a draft lottery?
Both. By default it is a random draft order generator where every team has equal odds, presented as a live race instead of a list. Switch on the weighted lottery and teams that finished lower last season get better odds at the top pick, with every team's chances shown before kickoff.
